Overview
Life before COVID-19, I spent over an hour on the subway to commute and I found that according to the 2017 National Household Travel Survey, Americans spend time commuting to and from work: about 50 minutes per day, on average. To make your commute productive, Commute Better is a service that recommends articles depending on your interest and how long your commute time is.
The Outcome
I used Google Maps API and Medium article data.
1. Login
2. Check the time it takes to reach your destination
3. Recommend articles based on time to destination
Next Steps
I plan to create a dashboard for this app to track the number of articles I have read, and I would like to develop an article recommendation feature. Based on what I have saved in My List, I will be recommended for articles similar to this next time.
Writing
These are articles I wrote about what I learned in my coding learning process.
